SEXING THE SUPER HERO!
Tired of not seeing gay super heroes having relationships nor showing affection? Working from his love of 1960s comics and TV shows and adult comics like Blackburn's COLEY, Kujawa took a character created in his childhood and transformed him into a super hero that fights crime and and makes time to have hot sex with his boyfriend. Stormboy should be of particular interest for fans of comics with adult themes.
The setting is in the futuristic Metro City with it's resident super hero, Stormboy. Jay is his good natured boyfriend who loves having sex. Enter Kyrene, a raven haired sex vixen whose desire is to commit crimes with a sexual motif. With a nod to the 1960s Batman show, she announces in a holographic recording to the Police Commissioner and Stormboy that she's about to commit another crime. Dismissing her for the moment, Stormboy returns home only to find out that Kyrene has struck. In a twist on the "damsel in distress" theme, Kujawa has Kyrene kidnap Jay. While holding Jay captive, Kyrene and her two henchmen indulge in some bondage and group sex.
Never fear though! Thanks to help from his supportive father, Stormboy is able to track his abducted lover to Kyrene's high rise hide out; building codes in Metro City must be more open minded. He arrives on the scene just in time to save Jay from being used as a sex toy another time. Defeated, Kyrene is led off by police, vowing that someday Stormboy will know exactly how sweet her revenge is. Unfazed and back home together, Pete (Stormboy) and Jay share some quiet time over hot chocolate. Of course, there's still lots of sexual tension that needs to be worked off. Our hero's story closes with a with a wet and messy sex romp.
Kujawa's efforts are ambitious. He wears all the hats in this project. One wish I have is that the backup story had focused on either Stormboy and Jay or Kyrene. It would be nice to have more insight into her modus operandi as well as to know how her fascination with Stormboy began. Hopefully that will be dealt with in the future.

“Refreshingly sexy without being violent or exploitative and I love the strong, intense relationship between the hero and his boyfriend.”
--Paul Gravett / London, England / Oct. 2002
“Kujawa has come out with what gay comics fans have been asking for—a gay superhero in full color and no closets in sight. Stormboy is hot and almost as horny as his blond boyfriend. Softcore has been nixed here, everything is—hard!”
--John Blackburn / COLEY RUNNING WILD
STORMBOY is the brainchild of Henry Kujawa that in the words of its creator, “fills a gaping void”, a “persistent lack of a gay or bi superhero, especially one in his own comic series.” Taking his inspiration from the artists that dominated Marvel Comics in the late 1960s, Kujawa has set his sights on penning a piece that is highly erotic, artistic, and compelling at the same time -- and in all of these aspects STORMBOY is plainly superlative.
Kujawa’s detailed handiwork does have the flavor of those early comics, mirroring the DC and Marvel books that are his source of inspiration. Even the more explicit of his drawings are departures without being extremely out of character. They are hard-core and oozing with sensuality, but still manage to be tasteful.
The setting for STORMBOY is a retro-futuristic landscape known as Metro City. Here Stormboy, a sidekick-turned-superhero, protects the citizens from nefarious and nymphomaniacal villains. In this initiating episode, Stormboy faces the evil forces of Kyrene, a sex-crazed, pacifist villain. Her motto is “I abhor violence-- but I just-- love-- sex.” Her tools of crime are “kidnapping, bondage, rape, and seduction.”
Part of Kujawa’s mission is to steer his work clear of the gratuitous and sometimes shocking violence often associated with erotic comics. His other aim is to create characters who are sympathetic and likable. This even applies to the villains. Kyrene is a stylish mastermind who radiates sexual charisma, and throws fabulous orgies as part of her schemes. We can only hope to see more of such entertaining evildoers in future episodes.
The last page of STORMBOY contains a detailed and fascinating list of the works that have inspired Kujawa. Many are mainstream comics and television shows of the late 1960s. It is ironic that most of the purist fans of these books and shows will probably not care for STORMBOY. However, those with a more open-minded appreciation for comic art and a taste for the X-rated will certainly not want to miss the first edition of this promising series.

--Kent Fordyce / LAMBDA RISING BOOKSTORES / Washington, DC
“I never read an erotic comic before - but it was great. Superheroes having sex? Geez, you've got to think they'd be beating off groupies with sticks - but we'll never see that from mainstream. It was good, classic superhero stuff at the core, with all the values of loyalty to friends, duty, honor and - sigh! - true love. I enjoyed the humor too (such as the tower and the concept of a supervillain who only wants sex). I bet it could become a cult classic - any movie rights?"

“Be assured that Stormboy will continue to keep me company for many lonely nights to come(-pardon the pun!).”
--Risteard Keating / producer-presenter for RedFM 104-106 / Ireland
“You are both talented and gutsy. You do good work. I don't stay close enough to the market to speculate on how commercial it is. But one thing I've concluded, your greatest strength is in design work. And the best platform for super design work is science fiction. So you've chosen well. LOOKS LIKE YOU'VE GOT A WINNER! BRAVO! LOVE&KNISHES”
--Arnold Drake / creator of DOOM PATROL and DEADMAN / contributor to HEAVY METAL magazine
“Your drawing looked very good and the coloring looked less cluttered and confusing than we see in the computer colored.”
--Dick Ayers / artist on GHOST RIDER, SKY MASTERS OF THE SPACE FORCE, FANTASTIC FOUR, THE HULK, ANT-MAN, THE HUMAN TORCH, SGT. FURY AND HIS HOWLING COMMANDOS and countless other comics!
“Great design! You have a real knack for set designing. Take it from a former background designer, you should bundle up your designs and send them off to the Hollywood studios.”
--Nick Cuti / writer of E-MAN, MICHAEL MAUSER PRIVATE EYE, countless Warren anthology horror stories, art assistant on Wally Wood's CANNON and SALLY FORTH, and creator of MOONCHILD THE STARBABE, currently appearing in a brand-new 3-issue mini-series!
“I've been enjoying your pencil concepts; happily noting how much you're improving. So I don't have to pop a nitro tab maybe you'd better hold off on the torrid scenes. I'll devour them in the finished version, which might set me up for a triple bypass!”
--Frank Thorne / artist on TOMAHAWK, RED SONJA and others; creator of GHITA OF ALIZARR, MOONSHINE McJUGGS, DANGER RANGERETTE, LANN; writer of DRAWING SEXY WOMEN and his newest book, THE CRYSTAL BALLROOM!

He's hot! He's here!! He's Stormboy - queer superhero!
This filthy color comic book features the work of Henry Kujawa who credits all the greats as his inspirations, from the Fantastic Four to Gigantor and lots of adult comics we've never heard of. There are two comics here - the first is Stormboy, a 40-page totally pornographic color comic that features a gay superhero. The final 8-page love-making session is quite a jism-blaster with our brown-haired superhero sucking and fucking his new blonde lover. Beautiful colors, sharp drawing and explicit sex make this one a truly terrific collectible for the queer comic book lover. Also included is an 8 page B&W explicit hetero comic that might turn you on - it worked for us.
"A truly terrific collectible for the queer comic book lover."
