The Twelve Tribes of Israel
Greetings and Praises to the Most High,
Welcome to The Twelve Tribes of Israel website. This website is dedicated to all who strive for a better life. What I hope to accomplish with this site, is to educate, inform, discuss and liberate. You can come here to dicuss your opinions, views or just vent on certain subjects. No porn, male/female bashing, racial slurs or extreme political views need reply.
The reason I chose the name Twelve Tribes of Israel is because I have recently discovered the religion of Rastafari. Two of the largest sects of Rastas are The Nyabinghi and the Twelve Tribes. The Nyabinghi sect only allows for people of African descent, while the Twelve Tribes believe that all people are children of God. This is not to say that the Nyabinghi sect are incorrect in their beliefs, but in order to truly understand the meaning of "one love", all peoples must be included. There are also newer sects that are evolving. Most people think that Rastas are fanatical, radical and a cult. We are not. Rastafarianism is closet to the original, first form of Christianity. There are also Orthodox Rastas, but because the religion has been" downpressed", little is really known about it. There are no "formal" written edicts of Rastafarianism. The majority of the beliefs come from the Old Testament of the Bible. The most "Holiest" of bibles to Rastas is known as the "Holy Piby". It comes from Ethiopia. And I have never seen a publication. There is, however a book entitled " THE KEBRA NAGAST, The lost Bible of Rastafarian Wisdom and Faith from Ethiopia and Jamaica".
If anyone out there has read this, please let me know. I have read it, and find it to be quite tantalizing. If anyone knows if there is a copy of the ""Holy Piby", or know of any links , please share them. This is not a "religious" site, simply a site to share, discuss, and reason about life.
So, I invite all to come and share their life experiences. We each have something to learn from one another.
For me personally, this is therapy. I can write about my life's experiences in hopes that I can inspire, touch, teach or simply let others know that they are not alone. This will be a place where we can agree or agree to disagree. So although you may not agree with an individual, please respect that person's view. We are all entitled to our views. That is the beauty of Jah, to be ourselves, individuals. That is the beauty of life. No two leaves are exactly the same on any tree, however when in full bloom, they come together and produce, not only a thing of beauty, but also exist to help us survive. If we are to survive, the human race, then we must come together.
