Youth Liberation Association of Canada
The Youth Liberation Association of Canada is an unregistered non-profit organization that is dedicated to "youth rights through youth advocacy." The YLAC represents it's members by lobbying government officials and issuing press releases, as well as by educating the public about the civil rights of youth in Canada.
The Charter of Rights and Freedoms, section 15, subsection 1 and subsection 2 state that a person can not be excluded or prohibited from any activity or other right because of their age. Both federal and provincial statutes violate that section of the Charter, and the YLAC's mission is to have revisions made to such legislation either through litigation or collaborating with government officials.
