Mexican Folkloric Group 'Raices de Mexico'
The folkloric group "Raices de Mexico" was founded in September 1998 by a group of local adults and children interested in preserving and enriching their Mexican culture.This New York based company explores dance from Aztecs times to current day, through several regions of Mexico. The excellent performances and beautiful designed costumes have earned them recognition as one of the best folkloric groups of the tri-state area. This group is directed by Enrique Gatica and the wardrobe designer is Gerardo Rojas. They have performed in various stages in New York such as The Marriot Marquis Hotel, Mexican parades, Natives Theatre,Schools, Universities, Casa Puebla to name a few.
