Filk: THE WORMHOLE CONNECTION
(To the tune of “The Rainbow Connection”)
Strange was the fate that shot me through the wormhole,
God, what a mind-bending ride!
And now I must search for the way that leads back
To my home on the other side.
Companions I’ve found here and, daring and deadly,
The dark Sun, heart-stopping to see.
Someday we’ll find it, the wormhole connection,
My alien shipmates and me.
Who said that all of our plans would be flawless?
That’s just not the way that it goes.
Some times we triumph but other times can’t even
Starburst away from our foes.
Strength, hope, and courage we give to each other,
And though we don’t always agree,
Someday we’ll find it, the wormhole connection,
My alien shipmates and me.
I’ve fallen under her spell,
How empty my heart beats without her!
When I am half asleep, I can hear voices,
But can’t quite make out what they say.
Could they the secrets left there by the Ancients?
Or markers to show me the way?
And if I can open the doorway, I wonder
Just what her decision will be,
That day when we find it, the wormhole connection,
My alien shipmates and me.
Radiant Sun of my heart,
Oh Aeryn, will you go with me?
