Above photo: Edward Wilson and his family who migrated from Lancashire to New Zealand in 1886. The two eldest, Joseph & Elizabeth arrived ahead of their family in April 1884 on the ship SS Rangitiki.

1. Francis Wilson was born c1703. He married Elizabeth Burton in St Bartholomew Church, Longnor, Staffordshire, 5 Oct 1728. Elizabeth was born c1703. Elizabeth died 29 Jan 1746 in Longnor, Staffordshire, at 42 years of age. He married Mary Redfern in Parish Church, Alstonefield, Staffordshire, 7 May 1747. Mary was born in Butterton by Hulme End, Staffordshire c1712. She was the daughter of Thomas Redfern and Catherine Unknown. She was baptized in St Bartholomew's Church, Butterton by Hulme End, Staffordshire, 6 Apr 1712.

i. Grace Wilson was born in Longnor, Staffordshire 13 Jul 1729. Grace died 27 Aug 1729 in Longnor, Staffordshire, at less than one year of age.

2. Silence Wilson was born in Longnor, Staffs c1742. She was baptized in St Bartholomew Church, Longnor, Staffs, 14 Nov 1742. She married Daniel Horobin in Parish Church, Hartington, Derbyshire, 14 Sep 1780. Daniel died 3 May 1791 in Crowdicote, Derbyshire. Silence died Jul 1826 in Crowdicote, Derbyshire, at 83 years of age. Her body was interred 31 Jul 1826 in Longnor, Staffs.

3. James Wilson was born in Longnor Edge, Staffs 22 Dec 1745. He married Ann Brunt in Parish Church, Alstonefield, Staffs, 20 Aug 1767. Ann was born c1746. James died 20 Nov 1809 in Moridgetop, Longnor, Staffs, at 63 years of age.

She was baptized in Parish Church, Cronkton, Hartington, Derby, 4 Nov 1754. David died 18 Nov 1795 in Dun-Brook, Longnor, Staffs, at 48 years of age.
