HOLLY SLAMS KYM IN COURT
Popstar Holly Valance has accused her former TV co-star Kym Valentine of lying in court. Ms Valentine is being sued by former manager Scott Michaelson for breach of contract after he was sacked with 15 months remaining on a three year deal. Kym Valentine told the Sydney court Ms Valance had told her she was "feeling stressed out because she was leaving Scott". Ms Valentine added: "I questioned that she had a contract with him but she said the solicitors for her record company would get her out of the contract and would be faxing him the paperwork to do so." But under cross examination from Mr Michaelson's barrister John Garnsey, QC, Ms Valance denied the conversation ever took place. Ms Valance said: "She never had that conversation with me." Mr Garnsey asked: "You are saying Kym Valentine is making it up?" She replied: "Yes I am." Mr Garnsey read from an affidavit in which Ms Valance complained Mr Michaelson had focused on getting her raunchy jobs posing for men's lifestyle magazines. But he then questioned why Ms Valance had appeared almost nude in one of her music videos and released songs with sexually explicit lyrics. She replied: "I disagree. In the day of Eminem I think they're fairly soft."

ELLISON COMES UNDER FIRE
A police investigation is under way after gunshots were fired at the home of pop singer Jennifer Ellison. Police were called to the home on a luxury estate in West Derby, Liverpool after bullet holes were found in the front door. Ellison, 20, shares the detached house with her fiancé Tony Richardson. Ellison was not at home at the time of the attack, but she spoke of her shock. She said: "It's scary to think that something like this can happen on your own doorstep. "I am just thankful no one was hurt." A spokesman for Merseyside Police said: "No one was injured as a result of the attack, and at the moment it is not known when the shots were fired." He said police were now carrying out house-to-house inquiries in the area. The spokesman added: "We do not think this is linked to any other firearms incident in the city."

Former Brookside actress Ellison is currently promoting her latest single Bye Bye Boy. She had a hit earlier in the year with her first release, Baby I Don't Care.

EVIS PLANS GLASTONBURY CHECK-IN
Glastonbury Festival will be ticketless within two years in an attempt to crack down on the touting that has plagued it over the past few years. The festival sold out in record time last year but many of those tickets were being auctioned on the Internet within hours. Farmer Michael Eavis, who hosts and runs the event, is considering an airline style ticketing system, with the eventual aim of running the event "without any tickets at all". He said "What we’re trying to do is run the event how it is with airports. There’s new technology which means you don’t have tickets. "You go to the counter, give your reference number and credit card and then you get checked in. "The ultimate thing is to run the show without tickets so you don’t get the touts and all that jiggery pokery. "It all gets done at the front of house. That’s our ultimate solution."

Rumours have already started as to who might be playing in 2004. Oasis and Sir Paul McCartney are both thought to be potential headliners

KYLIE TOP OF THE PUBS
Kylie Minogue has proved a huge hit down at the local after one of her songs became the most played on UK jukeboxes. The Aussie singer beat Shania Twain into second place in the first official round-up of top jukebox tunes. Minogue's chart-topper Can't Get You Out Of My Head - also the most played track on the radio last year - topped the list for 2002, compiled by the Performing Rights Society. There was also a strong showing from classic rock tracks in the jukebox league with Paint It Black still proving popular at number 8, despite being released 37 years ago. Other well-loved rock tracks which have had punters parting with loose change included Losing My Religion by REM (2), Layla by Derek And The Dominoes (9) and Bat Out Of Hell by Meat Loaf (10).
