ezekiel encounter 3 alien annunaki operations

Craft Manoeuvres

B80 As the men with 'weapons' & the man in linen approached and stood by the bronze altar north of the temple:

9:3 ...the glory of the God of Israel had gone up/rose

from the Cherub[im] on which it rested, to the threshold of the
house/temple;

...E109 Like 8:4, verse is an insertion.

Remember, this is probably a second craft!

The 'Living Creatures' are now called the 'Cherub[im]'.
This indicates either:

[1] some change in the undercarriage related to the operation [see
10:6-7] -or-

[2] a more sophisticated model than that seen in earlier encounter[s]
[but see 10:9-17].

The Cherub[im] remains at the gateway whilst the 'glory of the God of
Israel' [remotely or manned [B86]] goes to a safe distance before a
dangerous operation begins.

Ezekiel mentions no noise or horizontal flight associated with the
'glory of the God of Israel' [see 1:26 & 10:1].

Neither is any material contact between the upper and lower sections
mentioned in some interpretations[it rose from above the cherubim].

9:3-5 and he called to the man clothed in linen,.. And [the Lord] said
to him:...

B80 This is the only time in 'technical' texts that Ezekiel qualifies any form as 'the Lord'

[but see E106 where 'the Lord' is treated as an optional phrase]. Note
that 'he' is not capitalised!

Presumably, the man in linen moves close to 'he' [now on the threshold?] after being called as 'he' now says
[note speech marks indicating a voice which is not disembodied]
instructions to him.

..."Go through the midst of the city through the midst of Jerusalem "

and put a mark[E131= tau, last alphabet letter, a sloping cross]

upon the foreheads of the men who sigh and groan over all the
abominations that are committed in it."

But/And to the others he said in my hearing"

Notice the mention of overheard speech as the operation continues [also see 10:13].

"Pass through the city after him, and smite/ Kill without pity and
destroy them all, " old men and young, girls, little children and women, but touch no one who has the mark. "Begin at my sanctuary." [again note speech marks]

Preliminaries are being made for a drastic slaughter, or at least that
is the impression received by/ given to Ezekiel.

Such clinical, frightening emotionless [B80] situations are typical of
modern encounters.

Blumrich [126] feels that this section is an oddity and should be
ignored in any evaluation of the visitors!

9:8...I fell upon my face and cried out: Horrors, Yahweh!

Left alone, Ezekiel is convinced that women, men and little children are being slaughtered.

Despite his trauma Ezekiel characteristically carries on clinically
recording complex activities.

9:11 The man in linen comes and reports to the 'Lord' that he has done
as told [so his writing case is not a communicator as Blumrich proposes?]...

10:1 Then I looked, and behold, on/ above the firmament that was over
the heads of the cherubim there appeared above them something like a
sapphire, in form resembling a throne

B81 A vacant seat appears above the undercarriage.

This could be the empty capsule returning under remote control from the threshold.

As in 1:26[& see 9:3], the 'throne' is not said to come from any
direction or make any noise.

[E108 most of 10 is 'a great piece of additional embroidery in
connection with the cherub-throne.]

No 'rainbow like' upper capsule covering, clear or otherwise, is
mentioned.

10:2 And he said to the man clothed in linen:

"Go in among the rotors [Br 146-7]/ whirling/circling wheels/
wheelwork[C61]/ whirlwind underneath the cherub[im];

fill your hands with burning coals/embers lying among/ from between the cherubim, and scatter them over the city."

And he went in before my eyes.

In what are preparations for a major manoeuvre, wheels are now being
used as rotors [also see 10: 6, 13]

Presumably, the Lord is still with Ezekiel when 'he' gives these further orders [see 9:1].

The man in linen is ordered to go underneath the Cherubim with the empty seat above. He wears actual linen, maybe for heat protection or to indicate rank or both.

10:3/4 Now the cherubim were standing on the right side of the
house/south of the temple, when/as the man went in and a/the cloud
filled/ was filling the inner court.

This could mean either:

[1] Ezekiel is giving extra details of the main craft's location and the man has gone a certain distance into it -or-

[2] The main craft has moved into the house and the man has gone into
the house and up to it.

Either way, the man goes in and stands between the 'mid - rotors',
beside a wheel.

Whilst this is going on, a cloud/glory obscures the empty seat.

10:4 And/Then the glory of Yahweh went up/ had gone up/ rose high from
[above]the cherub[im] to the threshold/pedestal of the
house/temple/sanctuary and moved on to the terrace;

and the house/ temple was filled with the cloud, while the radiance of
the glory of Yahweh filled the court/ and the/ while the court was full of the brightness of the glory of Yahweh.

The empty upper capsule leaves the main craft/undercarriage for the
threshold.

It lights up the area as a cloud/glory manifests [a 'cloud' was
associated with Exodus craft, particularly in enclosed spaces] [see
43:5, 44:4].

Again, as in 10:1, no sound or actual flight is mentioned.

The other craft, hidden by the 'glory of the God of Israel' , may still be on the threshold [9:3]

although 11:23 implies that it has left for the midst of the city,
perhaps to help in the slaughter and/or burning.

Eichrodt 113-4 - The form 'himself' rises from the 'throne' and steps
onto the threshold/pedestal at the entrance to the temple to the south

.. From this raised position in front of the temple, Yahweh fills the
court with the fire amid which he appears.

Later, he steps back on the moveable 'throne'. Then he moves forward out of the east door.

Eichrodt is treating the form as if it is the glory, but there's no
reason why this can't be seen as the form -'he' entering the craft
surrounded by glory -'it'.

He then 'motors' up the craft as the next stage of the operation gets
underway.

Ezekiel doesn't mention 'him' again until he is brought to meet 'him' at the east gate [see 11:1].

10:5 The reverberation of the wings of the cherubs echoed from/could/was to be heard as far as the outer court ,
being as loud as the voice/thunder of the Almighty when he [E114 = EL
SHADDAI] speaks.

As in 1:24 craft silence is broken by the noisy upper rotors of the
Cherubim as they motor up for action.

Despite this uproar, there is no mention of dust, heat or any effect on the waiting 'man'.

Also, there is no problem with anyone hearing further orders.

Perhaps the commander has not moved at all and still stands next to
Ezekiel.

Maybe some or all wear headphones/ communicators, or the public address system is very loud.

10:6...he commanded the man clothed in linen,

"Take fire from among/between the rotors[Br 147]/ circling/whirring
wheels, from between/among the cherubim,"

he went in and stood beside a/the wheel.

The Hebrew indicates two types/appearances of wheels[see 10:2, 13].

10:7 And he the cherub/ A cherub [from among the cherubim] put/stretched out his hand between the cherubs[or cherubim]/from between the cherubim

to/into the fire that was there between the cherubim/ that lay among
them and/.

He took some of it and came out again and put it into the palms of the
man robed in linen.

He took it and went out.

or -And he stretched out his hand to the fireand took some of it and
came out again.

A telescopic [B82] and/or the 'man's' arm is used to take fire, from the craft reactor.

A puzzle here is that if the man in linen is involved, he is able to
carry the material ,in his bare hands!

E109 Nothing is said as to whether the [APPARENTLY]

red hot material was scattered over the city.

E134 Commentators state that the description of how the destruction
comes to pass in a blaze reaching up to heaven is no longer extant.

However, it is customary in Hebrew narration that the actual carrying
out of the marking, executions and burning has no need to be described
[C62]]

Explanations of Operation

[1] Radioactive material left over from craft repair/ maintenance/ upgrading is scattered over the city, probably by the craft leaving from the threshold. Once tossed over the city, it will dart to and fro emitting lightning [as in 1:13].

It will grow to an all consuming conflagration. This is designed to cleanse the city of dead bodies whilst leaving all the buildings intact.

Control is thus regained over alignments and the spared population.

[2] The city and people have been accidentally contaminated by a radioactive leak from a craft reactor.

The 'beings' take this opportunity to impose social control whilst repairing the fault.

If the fault was a real emergency for them, time could not be wasted on bringing Ezekiel.

[3] As in more modern encounters [e.g. grounded airships early this century], the 'slaughter' scenario is a pantomime designed to:

[i] Cover crucial craft engineering, maintenance, repair, upgrading operations.

[ii] Enhance social control techniques through raised curiosity and dire warnings

of even worse future consequences of disobedience

[iii] Ensure control of alignments will be retained/regained.

All scenarios highlight the small number of skilled 'beings'. I.e. The man in linen is used in 2 vital operations.

10:8 Under the wings of the cherubim there appeared what seemed a human
hand/

The cherubs appeared to have the form of a human hand beneath their
wings.

The hand is now said to manifest or to seem human. In 1:8 the hands were
said to be human.

The following descriptive text mainly repeats Encounter 1 [1:10, 15-18
etc.].

Verses are divided/emphasised for convenience ['established' biblical
verses were made subjectively]

10:9-11 And I saw/looked, and behold, there were 4 wheels beside the
cherubim, one wheel beside each cherub.

The wheels had the sparkle of topaz, and all 4 creatures were alike/all
four were the same shape,

like/seeming to have a wheel inside a wheel. When the cherubim moved in
any of the 4 directions,

without needing to turn, they never swerved in their course;

10:12 All the 4 living creatures' bodies, backs, hands, wings and wheels
[rims, hubs, and spokes] were full of eyes on all sides/round about;

As the main craft motors up to full take-off mode, the wheels whirr and
display myriad lights whilst acting as rotors.

All surfaces, and not just [1:18] the rims of the wheels, are full of
'eyes'.

This scene of whirring wheels, lots of eyes and the brightness of a
cloud/glory lighting up the area is identical with modern Encounters.

[takes place at night or in temple darkness? see 1::26-28, E3 intro &
43:2]

10:13 and with my own ears I heard the wheels called Galgal = [
wheelwork/ whirlwind] whirring wheels/rotors...

/ As for the wheels, they were called Galgal [wheelwork[C61] or
whirlwind] in my hearing.

or -The whirring of the wheels sounded in my ears.

Ezekiel apparently overhears the wheels called rotors 'whirring wheels'
or 'galgal' [wheelwork]

[B88] . The Hebrew word used is the same as in 10:2, 6.

This indicates that Hebrew is spoken amongst the visitors and/or their
'aides' and not just for the benefit of Ezekiel.

The 'undercarriage' keeps changing in appearance, perspective [and hence
name] as it uses the wheels for various purposes.

10:14 Each [creature] had 4 faces:

the first face being the face of a cherub/ox,

the second the face of a man,

the third a lion,

the fourth the face of an eagle.

Ezekiel is looking at the active undercarriage from changing
perspectives.

'Faces' are now seen on the wheels[ = rotor fairings [see B5, 1:10]
-this supports the idea of the wheels doubling as rotors.
[ Blumrich [34] doesn't rule out the existence of two sets of rotors on
the cylindrical helicopter units, depending on the balance between rotor
and driving torque factors].

One face is seen as a bull or ox rather than a cherub [B88/9 112].
It may be the one who handed out the 'hot' material [see 10:7].

10:15 Then the cherubim raised themselves up/arose/mounted up[see 1:21],

those same living creatures I had seen by the river Kebar.

B85 The repaired/ maintained/ upgraded main craft rises under its own
power [the wheels no longer need to double as rotors.]

Ezekiel now sees it from the same perspective as in Encounter 1 and can at last confirm it is the same unit.
