WHEELS [used for slow movement]

[B39 Blumrich's solution and design, based on Ezekiel's description,
patent pending (1972).]
B15-17, 37, 39 - 49, 63-7, 127, 153 -8

1:15 -16 As I looked at the living creatures, I saw wheels on the
ground/and I looked & behold 1 wheel was on the earth,[1 beside each of
the 4]

The wheels and their works/ the appearance of the wheels and their
construction sparkled like topaz, ...

When deployed, the gleaming wheels holding up the supports are on the
ground beside [not under] each unit.
They have a greenish or bluish hue.
Synthetic film coatings used for temporary corrosion protection have
this exact appearance
when applied to machined steel or aluminium surfaces.

1: 16 ...and they were all alike in form and their appearance and
working/construction

they were like a wheel inside a wheel/ as though one wheel were in
another ,

1:17 [&10:11] [When they went], they went/could go in any of their 4
directions without turning as they went.]

The principle of how the wheels themselves work can be likened to
twisting an inner tube in itself
until an appropriate combination of the 2 directions of rotation lets it
roll in the direction wanted.
A flexible fibre travels along the periphery of the tyre cross-section.

1:18 [The 4 wheels had?] rims and they had spokes/ & their rims were all
4 full of eyes round about/

Their rims and height were terrible;/ As for their rims, they were high
and they were dreadful/

All 4 had hubs and each hub had a projection/spoke which had [the power
of sight]/ fear...

Ezekiel, gives no specific wheel dimensions, but states they have a
terrible height/ and terrible/high & dreadful rims.
Blumrich [23] is more conservative, proposing they are about an average
human's height.
[E50 - The first 4 words are untranslatable. = rims & spokes may not
belong to the wheels?]

Their tyres are divided into a number of supported and driven
barrel-shaped segments that are connected to the wheel hubs by spokes.
Both directions of rolling are achieved by the rotation of the wheels
around its hub on the one hand
and by the rotation of the segments around their axes on the other.
Any vehicle weight is transferred from spokes to segments through
supporting wheels arranged in pairs at the spoke ends.

It's difficult to interpret what is meant by the text interpreted as
'the power of sight/ fear'. Maybe Ezekiel sees:

[i] a glowing remote control monitor, camera, or guidance system on each
hub projection, which can be switched on/off.

and/or: [ii] a frightening facial image on the screen.

The EYES are short hollow dark ended protrusions used for grip and
surface penetration. They are slightly conical, like the half -retracted
eyes of a snail. They resist slipping in the plane of and perpendicular
to the smooth wheels. [Treads used in caterpillar tyres only transmit
the driving force in the plane of the wheel]. These 'eyes' make the tyre
rotations even more conspicuous during the functioning of the wheels as
the craft rolls on the ground.

In fact, multiple simultaneous movements can be observed, including:

[1] rolling motion of the wheels

[2] rotation in the wheels' continuous rolling surface in several
directions

[3] rotation of the tires as a whole

[4] rotation of tyre segments

[5] turning of disks

Parts of the wheels appear to revolve faster than would seem consistent
with the speed of their movement.

Conventional interpretations of the wheels are based on this appearance.

This has lead to untenable concepts like pairs of intersecting wheels
which would give a wobbly ride and high power consumption.
However, the wheels and their works look and actually operate as if they
are wheels inside wheels.

Ezekiel probes their appearance further to give interpretations of the
wheel's function repeatedly and clearly.

Based on this, Blumrich concludes that:
[I] the wheels allow rolling movement in any direction from a given
point without any turning.
[2] Changes in rotation & direction occur in all wheels simultaneously.

[3] The versatile wheels give maximum manoeuvrability combined with
stability for landing and movement on uneven or unstable surfaces.
The wheels and retractable legs are used so that the craft can roll
along the ground slowly for precise communications positioning. [Also
see T60].

1:19/20 When the living creatures moved/went, the wheels moved/went
beside them; when the [living] creatures rose from the earth , the
wheels rose;

they moved in whatever direction the spirit/wind would/to go/ wherever
the spirit drove them;

and the wheels rose together with them, for the spirit of the creatures
was in the wheels.

1: 21 When the one moved, the other moved; when one halted, the other
halted;

when the creatures/those rose from the ground/earth, the wheels rose
together with them,

for the spirit of the[living] creatures was in the wheels.

Ezekiel deduces the wheels must be moved by some sort of 'impulse'
generated by the 'living creatures'. This in turn moves the craft.
