Derren Brown: Inside Your Mind

This 75-minute DVD presentation is a compilation of Derren's best moments from his 'Inside Your Mind' TV series. It includes 18 sections, in which he puts his psychological powers to use everywhere from Greyhound tracks to casinos, from nightclubs to forests. Derren is simply amazing, full stop. Watch him once, you'll be spellbound.
It's a very entertaining film, and certainly deserves its full marks. 10/10
Audio:
Bog-standard stereo. Does the job well enough. 6/10
Video:
I thought the transfer was well done, and whilst not perfect, didn't really have any noticeable imperfections. 8/10
Price:
Where I looked, the price was usually around £13-18. I'd say £13-15 is reasonable. 7/10
Extras:
I truly think the set of extras on here is brilliant, probably one of the best sets I've seen. Firstly, there's Derren's own commentary on the feature; a 15-minute interview with Derren; four unseen sequences, one of which is an explanation of 'how he does it', two of which have optional commentary; all four totalling around 20 minutes; then there's 7 trailers from C4 and E4, 10 minutes of excerpts from the '50 Greatest Magic Tricks' C4 special about Derren; and finally 10 minutes of Derren's links from the special 'Mind Control Night' on E4 earlier this year. All in all, a great set. 9.5/10
Overall:
What can I say? Brilliant all around bar Audio, and that's not really important. One of my favourite DVD's. 9/10
Family-Friendly Rating:
I give this a Mature Teen rating due to a couple of very brief moments with nudity and a fair amount of strong language. Recommended for 15 and up.
