Ralph Smith with a grandchild

Here Ralph Smith is shown during the early 1900s holding one of his many grandchildren.
He was in his 80s. He died in 1914. Emma passed away about six months later.

Ralph Smith and Emma Girdlestone were my great-great-grandparents. The couple had nine children with my great-grandmother Alice Girdlestone Jenson being the youngest.
