Joseph Girdlestone Smith
Joseph Girdlestone Smith was the child of Ralph Smith and Emma Girdlestone.
He was my great-grandmother Alice Girdlestone Smith's older brother.
He was married first to Alice Watson with whom he had several children.
They lived in Logan, Utah, in a homeJoseph built.. He most assuredly learned his carpentry skills from his father Ralph Smith who built many homes in Logan.
A very handsome man, Joseph resembled his father in his later years.
Joseph first married Alice Watson who he later divorced. He later married Martha Jane Hoffman and settled in Jerome, Idaho, USA. They had two children.
"Curley Joe" as he was called, also had a son named David Oliver who once boxed for the navy. His mother was Alice.
