Emma Girdlestone as an elderly woman
This picture of Emma was taken during the first of the 20th Century.
She died in 1914 about six months after Ralph passed away.
She had such a hard life but managed to live well into her 80s. She was a very fiesty woman - she had to have to been to have endured everything she went through.
My home page features a photo of her as a young woman around the age of 25. She was very pretty in her younger years. From what I understand she had black hair and blue eyes. Most of the Girdlestones had very dark hair.
