Oct. 8, 2011: Finally got in some really really good exercise today. Hadn't done both rollarblading and the gym each time n two weeks or so and I"m really starting to feel it. Not a pleasant feeling. And then at the gym I saw this skinny little thing and then looked at myself and thought "I've really really got to get with the program." Also, recently came across some information about my great-Uncle George and his children in particular his daughter who moved to France in the 1940s. She found herself trapped in Paris after Hitler invaded. She had originally gone there to study piano thanks to a scholarship. She had just one child and from what I understand, she stayed in France. You can see the George's bio at this link.

Oct. 6, 2011: Today's deep thought by Steve Jobs, may he rest in peace. "Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else’s life." Very cool and very deep.

Oct 4, 2011: Yesterday my baby boy celebrated his 27th birthday. Old man. In other news, went to band practice last night with the local college band. That is so fun. I am truly amazed at the massive wave of positive feelings/memories that I feel during each and every practice. I just love it. It's funny how I look around for my old band mates from days of yore, but they're not there. It makes me very very sad. I didn't realize until now how much we had all bonded during that time. It was junior high/high school combined so six years of working toward that goal of producing all that music. So fun and I had such a good time. I am so thankful my parents bought me that saxophone when I was in the sixth grade. Made all the difference in the world. All three kids played an instrument. So cool. Gosh do I ever miss that high school band. Makes me cry.

Oct. 1, 2011: This morning I discovered that someone had left me a box full of yarn. They know I do a lot of knitting and crocheting so that was so cool. I was delighted. I will literally be in stitched for a very long time thanks to someone's generosity.

Held my first book discussion about my book. About a dozen people showed up and I gave away a bunch of signed books. That is so dang col. I was thrilled. I hope this continues and that the book will continue to sell. That would rock. So please pray that it will.

Sept 23, 2011: My niece got married today. But she's just a baby! so cute. Everybody was in tears. On the way to her wedding I nearly got ran over by a semi. Now that woulda hurt, hurt, hurt. And then I kept trying to call someone on my cell phone and it my phone wouldn't work. When I got it to work, I got the wrong department and when I finally got the right department, I dropped my phone and broke my connection. After calming down - somewhat - I finally
