VOCE the Muse International Internet Salon and Open Mic
Take part in a live, interactive Internet broadcast with vocal musician / composer (aka) VOCE hosting interviews and spontaneous creation by daring international soundmakers. Most listeners can enjoy the broadcast with their normal Internet connection and home/office computer setup that includes a sound card and speaker. You may simply listen or submit questions during the live broadcast via chat on Skype. However you will need a computer mic and headphones/speakers to ask questions directly during the Q&A or to perform.
VOCE the Muse: An Exploratory Project
VOCE the Muse (VTM) was designed by vocal musician/composer (aka) VOCE as part of an initiative to collaborate with artists from a variety of fields. VTM International Salon and Open Mic is an extension of the project that uses the Internet to introduce experimental world music to new audiences and further explore the possibilities for collaboration.
Raison d'etre
Until now, a select group of universities and businesses have been funded by the United States government to support research in using the Internet as an interactive distance learning tool . VTM Salon represents a pioneering effort by an individual, independent artist to use an unrestricted Internet portal as a platform for live performance and educational exchange as well.
