Dorene has been a member of Harmony Inc. since June, 1986, when Laurie Shepherd, Lead of For Heaven's Sake, 1996 Harmony Queens, convinced her to come to a Northern Blend practice. She was immediately hooked on Harmony and there was no turning back! She is a member of Northern Blend Chorus' Music Team and has served as the Lead Assistant Section Leader and on the chapter's Board of Directors.

While Dorene has a great passion for singing, her family tops the priority chart. She lives in Watertown, NY, with her husband of 20+ years, Doug, and their two children, Rachel and Ryan. Dorene "leads" a very busy life, juggling her family life, love of singing and a full-time career. She works as an Administrative Assistant for the School Psychologist & Special Education Chairperson at Thousand Island Central School District. Her favorite hobbies include swimming and other sports, shopping [mostly for jewelry], and socializing!
