Art Supplies - We’re looking to really build up his art supplies, especially so we have something to do when its too cold to spend much time outdoors ... a tupperware full o’ supplies would make his day ... some suggestions are listed below, but I’m sure you creative types can think of other stuff to include that you might even already have around the house:
Stencils (letters, transportation, animals ...), mix-matched buttons, colored cotton balls, feathers, foil,
pipe cleaners, old/ mismatched jewelry pieces, seashells, ribbonscraps, clay, fabric scraps, foam
pieces, wood scraps, dried flowers, googly eyeballs, stamps, stamp pads, wrapping paper scraps,
yarn scraps, origami paper, small ruler, paint brushes and foam brushes (all textures and sizes),
small stapler, small tape dispenser with tape, {small hot glue gun with glue sticks}, Elmer’s glue and/or
glue sticks, newsprint pads, fingercolor/watercolor pads of paper, book on project ideas, misc writing
stuff: pastels, oils, waterpaints, fingerpaints, highlighters, colored chalk. We already have plenty of
crayons, colored pencils, and colored markers
Magazine Subscriptions - Your Big Backyard, $15 for 12 issues, Ladybug, $35 for 12 issues, Click, $33 for 9 issues
Misc Stuff - He likes dressing up weird ... so clearanced Halloween costumes, sz 4/5/6 of ANYTHING would go over really well with him ... as would anything ‘unique’ or tacky from a thrift store or your closet
We want to set up a carnivorous plant tank, so a gift card to Home Depot or Lowe’s would help us get some supplies (like the $10 carnivorous plants and $5 planting media) going for that ... a book on that might help also since I’ve never set anything like that up before, heh.
Computer games, non-violent, educational is always nice but not mandatory
Batteries, most things seem to take AA, but we also use AAA and Ds
Alarm clock, non-digital, non-licensed character clock
Food Gift Cards, Red Robin, Panda Express and SPAG FACTORY are his favorites (no, really!)
