Biography
Vanta Jones, native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin grew up signing in church. His family has a strong religious background and they love to sing gospel music. Vanta works at the YMCA, where he serves as the assisatnt director of the Youth Leadership Academy Boys Choir. Which travels all over the country, singing gospel, jazz, rhythm and blues, classical and show tune music. The choir consists of more than 65 boys ranging from the ages of 5-18. Vanta has earned an associate degree in Theology from Grace Theological Seminary and plans to further his education in music. As a member of the Greather Bethlehem M.B.C. Vanta was appointed Minister Of Music by Pastor Floyd L. Jones, in 1999 where he served faithfully until May of 2003, rearranging olf hymns and preparing music of his own while singing the latest gospel music on the charts. After about a year of service Vanta was given the task of starting a youth choir with kids aging from 9 to 18 years of age. Through the anointing of God the kids sung in three-part harmony and began to up lift the spirit of the oppressed and through music heal broken hearts throughout the city. Through God's favor The Greater Bethlehem Youth Choir traveled throughout the city proclaiming God a risen saviour through music and challenging people throughout the city to come out of praise into worship. "They who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth only God's people can worship him, but everyone can praise him.", was one of Vanta's favorite quotes. Vanta was a member of Greather Bethlehem for 25 years. As times changed Vanta has now started a group with some of these same youth, family and friends called The Partakers of Christ.
Partaker merely means to be in partnership with spirtual things that are of God. For God challenges us all to be partakers of him!!!
