Sometimes it's hard to hear God's voice in the clamor of the crowd.
psalm 46:10 - "Be still, and know that I am God"

I'd like to take this time to thank Dee and the good folks at Robynwood for allowing me to sing and play my guitar once again for the Lord. After 25 years God has brought music back into my life. Praise His name.---AMEN!

"A Change of Seasons"~~~~~~~~~(Autumn Poem)

Brilliant shades of color
start to appear
It happens this time
every year

The artist palette
dips his brush and soon
to unfold
On the canvas of rustic
red and gold

Deep blue skys are
not threatened by the
declining mercury,
For the stage of Winter
is now being set and
waiting for delivery

Trees of color will
soon disappear,
It happens this
time every year

Winter's first snow is
knocking at the door,
A change of seasons,
changing once more.

1."Friends"

A friend you are of mine
indeed
A friend is a friend in
time of need

We open our hearts, so
please take care
of this special place we
give to share

A friend knows how to give
and take
but will always help you mend
a mistake

Yes, friends may come and
friends may go
but our friendship, will most
likely forever grow........

-Eric Kopf

2."The Carpenter"
(Dedicated to Frank)

I once knew a carpenter who drove a
green ford truck full of tools and
bits of information for the soul

He'd fix doors, make steps for people
and buy a certain kind of bread for
sweet old ladies of the church

Witty conversation and a friendly word
for all was his style, while cups of
coffee and talks of "Walden's Pond"
would last well into the late afternoon

From new table-saws to vegetable
gardens and everything in between, lies
a world I still remember and a place
forever seen.

-Eric Kopf

3."Life's Key"

Good times and bad will
surely come
It's where you are going
that counts, not where
you're from.

Each day is a gift
from above
Be sure and fill it
with God's precious love.

And when the hands of time
dwindle down,
May faith be the key to
turn us around.......

-Eric Kopf

4."The Hidden Place"

A hidden place that's safe and
warm is waiting there today,
It exist in our hearts for some
but for others is so far away

The place, often neglected
beckons you inside,
And becomes your closest friend
on one which you confide

You can hear this place
in the rush of the wind and
see it in the tall pine trees,
As it echoes through our lives
then moves along on a breeze

So if you listen with your ears
and can see only with your eyes,
You will miss this place,
or find it by surprise.

-Eric Kopf

5."I Looked For a Smile"

I looked for a smile, but
there was no trace
I looked for a smile in this
uncertain place

I looked for a smile where
fear has lived
I looked for a smile, but
there was none to give

Then I looked for my own smile
and thought I would lend, and
saw a smile looking back at me
in the face of a friend......

-Eric Kopf

6."Those Days Are Gone?"

I remember people of the past
like a broadway play without a cast
As I look into their eyes
I can feel the warmth inside

It doesn't matter anymore
like walking through an open door
Strangers come and go with so much to do,
dressed up as people without a clue

Yesterday, I glanced into the looking glass
and the images I saw were turning very fast
As I wake up to find, the turning of the tide

I watch the sunlight fade away
like the colors of the day,
Looking back on things we can't find
painting life one day at a time.........

-Eric Kopf

7."In Memory of Mr. Allen"

When I was but a lad of 12
insecure and shy,
My 7th grade history teacher
helped me get by

A short stocky man who stood
tall at the head of the class
Made on me an unforgettable
impression, that would forever
last

He gave his best to staff and
students alike
And always had time for the
things that were right

I can remember those faculty
basketball games and the funny
way he would run
While it was for a good cause,
his sportsmanship was 2nd to
none

Mr. Allen was a friend, a teacher
and a person to know
Someone who touched my life
so long, long, ago..........

-Eric Kopf

8."Listen to the Quiet"

Listen to the quiet, when day is done
listen to the quiet setting sun

Listen to the quiet in the still night sky,
listen to the quiet and you'll know why

Listen to the quiet trees in the wind and
you will listen to the quiet all over again

Listen to the quiet, and if you don't hear
the sound,
Do not worry my friend, it's just waiting
to be found........

-Eric Kopf

9."A Captain and Crew"

Sailing over the ocean,
sailing over the sea
a captain and his vessel
always will be

Early in the morning
casting off again,
a new charted course
a new day to begin

With the Captain at the helm
and all hands on deck
we can face the storms together,
along this weary trek

And as we enter the harbor
at the long journey's end
may we meet our Saviour,
our Captain and Friend.......

-Eric Kopf

John 3:16 says--"For God so loved the world that He gave His only- begotten Son, so that whoever belives in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." ----Which means, In that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us THE UNGODLY, so instead of man trying to reach God, -God reached down to us through His Son Jesus and now we have the gift of Salvation ---"If we only believe in Him"

--A few final thoughts to ponder--

(The sun will shine on the path we choose, but darkness will settle on the bad we use)

(It's easy to let a good friend slide, but it's hard to let a good friend hide)

(A day spent with friends is a long one, but a day spent without friends is even longer)

-I'd like to leave you now with a very
special poem entitled "The Purpose"

"The Purpose" ~~~(By Timothy Beckingham)

I look to the hills, our lives are changing
As the trees of Fall.

Their colors are many
But they clandestinely belong to the same mountain.

As we attribute to one body
The Spirit joins us to the universe.

The kettle is on, a kindness is brewing.

It is God’s unique and tolerant love
That molds us together
In the here and now
In his spiritual Kingdom on earth
And heaven.

Thank God for you, good friend of mine,
Seldom is friendship such as thine;
How very much I wish to be
As helpful as you've been to me-
THANK GOD FOR YOU!
