STICKY SITUATION
Welcome to my web page. My name is Terry Ford I have been a hovercraft enthusiast for about three years. It all started when I was 14. I found a popular mechanics magazine with a picture of a hovercraft in it and I ordered the plans. When I received the plans I new I would never be able to get this project done. When I hit the age of 18, I started working on cars and have done so ever since. When I tuned 36 I bought a 1938 Buick to restore as a street rod. I worked on it for about two years and then decided to sell it . When I did this the past came rushing back and I found myself on the Internet searching for hovercraft plans. I found the Universal Hovercraft web page, contacted Billy Zang, and bought the uh16s plans. I have been working on it off and on for about a year and have made many changes to the plans. I shortened the craft 2ft and added a lift motor to the front. I pretty much had it done when I attended the winter hoverin in Cordova IL. I then decided to change the shape of the craft, so back to the drawing board I went . During the whole project I have tried different epoxy resins and have found the Fiberlay pro glas epoxy resin system to be the best. That’s when I be came a distributor.
