Troop 143
Troop 143 is a group of well trained boy scouts. We are chartered by Trinity Lutheran Church, Reisterstown, MD. We currently have about 50 boys, and about 50 adults that are registered with the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 143. Boy Scouts is a very thrilling, and hopeful program.
There are 7 ranks for a boy 11 to 17 to work through at their own pace: Scout, the scout is the begining of scouting, its requirements are simple, yet in a small amount difficult; Tenderfoot, the Tenderfoot scout is the true begining of working up in ranks, its requirements are hard compared to scout, but nothing to star; Second Class, when you achieve Second Class you merely do the same things as Tenderfoot, Tenderfoots theme is fitness, Second Class, navigation; First Class, when you achieve First Class you are elgible for many offers; like tenderfoot and Second Class, First Class also has a theme, knots and First Aid; Star, Star is much harder, and a lot different then the previous; For example, for Star you must have a certain number of merit badges, also you need to serve in a leadership roll for 4 months, and have 4 hours of service; Life, Life is basically the same as Star, just a little more things to do; Eagle, being an Eagle Scout shows great on college applications and resumes, also, you will have your own Court of Honor.
