Special tours to the Southwest's "Grand Circle Tour". Includes 7-10 National Parks: Bryce, Zion, Capitol Reef, Canyonlands, Arches, Grand Canyon (south AND north rim), Mesa Verde, Petrified Forest, Yosemite and Death Valley. Also visit many other historical sites and National Monuments such as Hubbell Trading Post, Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park, Canyon de Chelley, and ancient Anasazi ruins.

NOTE! OPTIONAL EXTENDED TOUR BEFORE ITINERARY BELOW: 3 days/2 nights in San Francisco and area.
Day 1: Fly into bay area airports. Head for the mountains! After several scenic stops in the heart of Gold Country, continue to the real wild west--Jamestown. Choose an evening dinner train ride, gold panning or extended gold expeditions, shopping, antiques, famous restaurants.
Accommodations: Historical Jamestown Hotel.
Day 2-3: Choose one or several options. They can be combined.
*OPTION 1: Columbia State Historical Park. Horseback riding, stagecoach rides, Gold panning and/or working mine tours, quaint shops, preserved original hotels/restaurants. See a live theatre show in the evening OR visit Black Oak Indian Casino.
*OPTION 2: CAVERNS and CAVE tour. Take the adventure tour where you can rappel or traverse the spiral staircase down into the deep cavern. Visit giant Sequoias at Big Trees State Park.
*OPTION 3: Wine Tasting/Murphy's. Ironstone Vineyards houses the largest chrystalline gold leaf nugget in the world (48 pounds). Beautiful grounds. Murphys main street has charming shops and boutique wineries.
*OPTION 4: Exhilarating white water rafting OR a relaxing float trip down the wild and scenic river.
Accommodations: Historic Fallon House or Columbia Gem Motel
Day 3-4: Early morning departure for Yosemite National Park/Tioga Pass and Tuolumne Meadows. See famous Half Dome and Yosemite Valley waterfalls. Includes a half day tour. Full day tour available at additional cost.
Accomodations: Yosemite Lodge OR optional Ahwhanee Hotel (at additional cost).
Day 5: Return to San Francisco for optional extension.
NOTE! OPTIONAL EXTENDED TOUR AFTER ITINERARY ABOVE: 4 days/3 nights to Napa Valley wine region, Pacific coast/Redwoods, and Monterey/Carmel/Hearst Castle.
Sample itinerary 2:
Day 1-2:
Fly into Las Vegas airport. Take our optional side trip to Death Valley, Scotty's Castle, Rhyolite Ghost Town, and/or Red Rock Canyon.
Day 3-4:
Lake Mead/Hoover Dam, Kingman, Grand Canyon south rim (1st night) AND the scenic north rim (second night). See Sunset Crater/Wapatki National Monuments.
OR if you've been to the rim: replace with the red canyon walls of Sedona, original gold mining town of Jerome, ancient Tuzigoot National Monument and area as an option. Or take a spectacularly breathtaking 4x4 jeep tour in the mountains above Sedona.
Day 5-6: See the beautiful turquoise waters of Lake Powell. Take a boat trip to National Lankmark, Rainbow Bridge. Walk across the amazing Glen Canyon Dam, visit ancient ruins in Navajo National Monument, and see the ghosts of the past in mystical Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park.
Day 7: Canyon de Chelley National Monument (optional side trip to Hubbell Trading Post). Horseback or 4 wheel drive with a Navajo guided tour to ancient ruins. Experience the Navajo (dineh) culture up close and personal.
Day 8:
Visit New Mexico's Chaco Canyon National Monument and Aztec Ruins. Arrive in Durango, Colorado.
Day 9:
Ride the scenic Durango-Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroal, shop in Durango's historic quaint downtown, OR raft down the wild Animas River, or take a backcountry trip to old gold mining towns. Optional in evening: Bar D ranch Chuckwagon dinner show under the scented pines of the rockies.
Day 10:
Depart Durango for Mesa Verde National Park and Tour. Stay at Far View Lodge within the park. Sit on your private balcony to witness the glorious sunsets.
Day 11-12:
Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. Try a dutch oven BBQ dinner and/or a moonlight boat ride on the Colorado river with a light show on the canyon walls. Go 4-wheeling, hike up to Angel arch, mountain bike on the slick rock canyons, take a scenic flight tour, white water rafting or a float trip, and don't miss the National Parks. Bring your camera!
Day 13: Capitol Reef National Park/Escalante Staircase National Park/Paria Canyon. Escape the crowds and see this often missed oasis amongst the desert backdrop.
Day 14-15: Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks. Truly the grand finale! Return to Las Vegas airport.
