History of the location:
It is said that there was a man working on the upstairs railing above the dance floor when the restaurant was being built. He was adding something to the railing, when he fell to his death on the left side of the dance floor. His name is John Brown, he has his own table in the upstairs dining area. Table #218, it sits between the entrance to the kitchen and the grill window. The upstairs lights are on a timer, set to go off at exactly 1am, but John likes to keep the light above his table lit till way after that time. Also, managers and employees have quit there jobs there because around 4am, some nights, they have seen lights turn on and off, phones ring off the hook, printers spit out whole rolls of gibberish, doors swing by themselves, and also hearing footsteps on the dance floor. He is also known to haunt the men and women’s restrooms upstairs, no matter what, the lights find a way to mysteriously turn themselves on in the restrooms. There has also been reports of cold spots felt in the women’s restrooms.
Best-loved Steak House and this is what they have to say:
For more than 25 years and 19 million steaks, we've been dedicated to offering our customers excellence in food, entertainment, and value. We believe that our success is a result of a consistent commitment to quality. Trail Dust proudly serves only the best, corn-fed beef that meets our rigid specifications. For maximum tenderness, all beef is naturally aged, then hand-cut on premises, giving us the highest level of quality control. Finally, we cook your steak over an open grill using genuine mesquite-wood logs. The result is a tender, juicy and incredibly flavorful steak.
No Neckties Allowed!!! (I had mine cut at the door) :o(
This ain't no country club! Trail Dust Steak House is internationally-famous for its "no neckties" policy. Elaborate tie-cutting performances are held for those who dare to show up in formal attire. No neckties allowed – it's against the Trail Dust law. Dinner guests are asked to either remove their offending ties, or part of the tie will end up on our trophy wall with a business card nailed to it. But we're fair. In exchange for your tie, we'll give you a free drink – and lots of fun to go with it.
