Carolina Sled Rental home of the 'TRACK BOSS' Sled
Carolina Sled Rental is the home of the original "TRACK BOSS" pulling sled. This sled was built in 1984 by Darryl and John Ellenbaum of Thumb Truck Equipment Co. of Pidgeon Michigan. This sled was sled #11. This sled was known as a "speed sled", known for its easy starts, high speeds and quick stops, and its still known for it today. This sled was built to be set for 300 ft. outdoor tracks to any distance indoor tracks, bad tracks & good tracks. The sled was purchased by its current owner Donnie Thomas in 1986, with the name "TRACK BOSS". The sled received a major rebuild in 1995 to keep up with the new NASOA rules and to stop with the more powerful vehicles even better. This sled has been used at events from Miami FL. to Portland ME., all levels of NTPA , TNT, USA, & USHRA pulling events.
