SCHROPFER, GEORGE
George Schropfer 01/11/1930 - 10/09/2003, Born in Neunburg vorm Wald, Bavaria, Germany. He has two younger brothers namely Aloise and Gehard whom still reside in Germany with their families.
He left Germany in the early 1950's and immergrated to Perth Australia. George met Lotte nee Holfeld/Hapke/Bollmann in Bunbury Australia 1955, married and gained an instant family namely Margrit, Guy, Monica, Frank, Rosemary and Barry.
George had two daughters of his own namely Susan and Tracey who have two children each (Susan - Mark and Luke) and (Tracey - Natalie and Nicole).
George was a Mechanic/Hydraulic fitter by trade. He resided in Australia until 1964, when he returned to Germany with his family (less the two eldest - Margrit and Guy) and immergrated to Johannesburg, South Africa in 1966. He resided in South Africa until 1992 where he was diagnosed with the early stages of Altzheimers disease. He returned to Australia with his wife and his children whom still reside in Australia, Barry and Monica remain in South Africa with their families.
George was a hardworking man who never complained, and was mostly seen by his loved ones with a smile and a twinkle in his eyes. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who cherished his family, and was at his best when surrounded by them.
This is a tribute to you dad, your physical presence is no longer with us, but your memory and spirit lives in our hearts and minds forever. We love you. Rest in Peace.
