Peter Tosh Concerts / Interviews / Rare Studio

***Updated on March 14, 2006***

Hail, Peter Tosh and roots reggae fans! This website has been designed to spread the powerful works of the Late, Great Peter Tosh, whose works contained the intensity, edge, and bite that are absent from Bob's and Bunny's music catalogs.

I invite you to gaze into the above picture of Peter, which is the foundation for the cover sketch of 1981's "Wanted: Dread and Alive" album. What do you see? This picture represents a man who cared deeply about sufferers who have been subject to historic injustices, a man who put his life on the line for equal rights and justice. A fearless man who had the fortitude to stand up to a brutal Babylon, despite being the victim of police brutality and governmental harrassment on numerous occasions. Peter was a man that feared God and no one else. People mistook his undying love and respect of God (Jah Rastafari) for arrogance. Weren't they the self-absorbed ones?

The right-wing elements in our various societies believe that standing up for fairness, equality, and righteousness are the thoughts of liberal marshmellow madmen. Their religions support the concepts of love, honor, respect, dignity, and the fellowship of humankind. If only they could live such lives. Religious hypocrites have worked to either consume or destroy everything God created. They have used God to get elected into power, make money, and spread hatred. Imagine that--using God to get elected! Chune in to Peter Tosh's works of art and you'll have a positive response to their negativity and hateful, spiteful, hypocritical, mean-spirited way of life.

I've enhanced my website as both an homage to Peter Tosh and as a way to 1) obtain more Peter Tosh material, including cds, dvds, official releases from foreign, newspaper clippings, magazine articles, etc. and 2) spread as much Peter Tosh music around the globe as possible. His legacy must be promoted in these days of greed, self-centered behavior, inconsideration, evil, hatred, violence, hypocrisy, discrimination, and horror.

My Peter Tosh selections available for trade are listed below. For more information such as setlists, quality, length, etc., feel free to e-mail me at timklingman@wi.rr.com.

[If any of these concerts are available on official release, even in abbreviated form, I beg you to purchase the official version. They will be higher quality, Peter Tosh's beneficiaries and posthumous foundation will benefit, and it's the right thing to do!]

1-6-06: I'd like to recommend a book that I understand contains an absolute wealth of information about Peter, Bob, and Bunny's prolific musical output. It is entitled "Bob Marley And the Wailers: The Definitive Discography" (Paperback) by Roger Steffens. Having Roger's name attached to it guarantees a superb purchase.

While you're at it, go ahead and pick up another Roger Steffens title: "Global Treasures Presents the World of Reggae Featuring Bob Marley: Treasures from Roger Steffens' Reggae Archives" (Paperback - January 2001).

Why stop there when you can also pick up a copy of "One Love: Life with Bob Marley and the Wailers" by Lee Jaffe, et al (Paperback/Hardcover April 22, 2003). This gem contains the best assemblage of Peter, Bob, and Bunny photos under one cover. Lee tells a great story to go along with superb photos from his personal collection.

12-29-05: I have been burning some cds for new collectors over the last several weeks. I'm excited to get into some more trades in 2006. I'd greatly appreciate those who can help me to develop a dvd collection. I haven't advertised my collection because some of the concerts are poor quality and unreliable.
