Tod Sturgeon Jr #88
Tod Sturgeon Jr is from Flat Rock, Michigan, a city just south of Detroit and is the driver of the #88 ARCA Street Stock at Flat Rock Speedway and a crew member of the #90 Super Late Model of Dennis Strickland and Strickland Racing. Tod is a 21 year old, college graduate from the University of Northwestern Ohio with a Associate Degree of Applied Science with a Major in High Performance Technology.
Tod has been around racing his whole life. He use to go to Flat Rock Speedway with his father when he was a young boy. Now its hard to believe that Tod is 21 and has been racing for 5 years, and been a crew member for 8 years. In this short time Tod has had the chance to experience first hand what it feels like to really "Jump over the wall" with Dennis Strickland and Strickland Racing. "I've gone from cleaning the car when I was young, to jumping over the wall and changing tires on an ARCA REMAX Supercar at tracks like Michigan Speedway and Kentucky Speedway, and driving my own racecar in between all this" said Tod."My dreams have come true. Now all I need is a championship!"
2003 will be Tod's 6th year as a driver for ARCA (Automobile Racing Club of America) and as the start of the racing season nears, Tod Jr and the members of Strickland Racing are excited and looking forward to finally winning a championship in the ARCA Street Stock division with Tod while Dennis Strickland tries to capture the ARCA Super Late Model track championship again for the 3rd time. "I was pretty close last year but a couple of mishaps prevented me to finish 1st, so I had to settle for 4th in points" said Tod.
