Tejano Music Club of California
Tejano Music Club of California is a nonprofit public benefit corporation and is not organized for the private gain of any person. It is organized under the Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation Law for charitable purposes.
Mission Statement
To appreciate and promote awareness of the traditional and the new trends of Tejano Music to all generations in California.
Purpose: To promote awareness of the different trends in music through the Midwestern United States and also to educate those with an interest of the Traditional Texas Music and of the many incorporated styles derived from it such as, Tex-Mex, Onda Chicana and Nortena.
Goal: To adequately inform the population of the importance of maintaining and enhancing the Tradition of the Texan Music of our forefathers, and to promote our own version of the Tejano Music Awards (TMA), modeled after the San Antonio TMA with different music categories here in California.
Objectives: To help adults, youth, and children to reach their maximum potential by providing the following;
* Scholarships towards music majors.
* Monetary assistance for purchase of musical instruments.
* Monetary assistance to school groups to participate at any musical events, parade, contest, etc.
* To hold fund raisers, dances, food sales, contest in order to accomplish all objectives mentioned above.
