Hawks Playoff Hockey
Game #1-VS Lumsden

The Regina Hawks went into this game, overconfident as usual, but with good reason. The Hawks ended the season on a good note, crushing the Kings, even without star forward Jeff Morton, out on a suspension from an earlier game. Also, Lumsden has won only 3 games the whole year, compiling a lowly 10 points. Derek Hammerlindl really came out to play in this one, starting to catch up to point leader Jeff Morton in the stats. He scored the first goal, the second and the third. After the first period, the score was 3-0, thanks to Hammer and hard hitting by all the Hawks and good defensive play. In the second period Hammer gave a pass to Brett Vancise who scored a nice goal. The Hawks were now up 4-0, and the very crappy Lumsden Lions, quit playing hockey and started trying to injure people. As it turns out, they are failures at this also. Two goals by Hammerlindl and Wiens made it 6-0. In the third period, the Lumsden team got its only goal, despite great playing by goaltender Greg Jacobs. This wasnt much of a concern for the Hawks though. One more goal by the Hawks by Jeff Morton assisted by Steve Kudelis sealed the fate of the terribel Lumsden team. Final score-Hawks-7 Lumsden-1

Game #2-VS Kings

The Regina Kings really proved how crappy they are in this nonexciting game. The Hawks started off weakly, but managed to get 3 goals in the first period. In the second period the hawks really dominated the play. Jeff Morton increased his point total to 2 goals and 3 assists, one of the goals on an amazing shot from outside the blueline. Matt Rumple played excellent letting in only one weak goal. The hawks were doing everything right, they were hitting, they were backchecking, they were passing and shooting well. Although captain Brad Lanz was ejected early in the contest the Hawks crushed the weak Kings. The third period went slowly, with the Hawks playing very conservatively. The official, who was obviously retarded or blind or handicapped in some way, made some terrible calls against the incredible Hawks. No goals were scored in the third but the Hawks proved they could kill penalty. Excellent defensive play by Joel Lanigan and Mike Collins helped the Hawks keep their 6 goal lead. Final score-Hawks-7 Kings-1

Game #3 VS Lumsden

The allstar line of Waller, Kudelis, and Morton really put their heart into this game, as the dominant Hawks crushed the Lumsden team 12-2. The Hawks first line scored or assisted on 8 of the teams goals. Waller got 5 goals and 3 assists, Morton had 2 goals and 6 assists, and Kudelis had 1 goal and 4 assists. Also this line was hitting, skating hard, and passing very well. Goaltender Greg Jacobs played well, but only got about 15 shots, while the terrible Lumsden goaltender had about 40. In my opinion he should be banished to lay on a house team-in Atom. I think he would fit in well there. He really sucks. The hawks also had goals by Hammerlindl, Lanz and others, but there were too many, I forget them all. Truly, the Hawks are aiming to destroy the Flyers in the upcoming league championships. The Hawks have 2 games left, against the poor Balgonie team, and another opponent to be determined, most likely the Stars. I predict a 6-2 vicory for the Hawks, whoever they play.
Final Score- Hawks-12 Lumsden-2

2.Jeff Morton
3.Steve Kudelis
