First "Boy Meets World" and now "The Score"! What the heck is gonna be left next
fall?!
It is with more than a little sadness that I am forced to announce "The Score",
New York City’s only movie score radio program, has headed into a hiatus that
will more than likely become permanent, so that I can fully concentrate on my
dream of becoming a professional wrestler.
Just kidding. It’s actually so that I can focus on my upcoming summer
internships: personal assistant to a big-shot movie producer, and writing for a
morning-drive radio talk show that's nationally-syndicated.
What can I say other than it's been an incredibly fun year and two months? I got
to meet, talk, interview and even befriend some of Hollywood's most talented
composers...not to mention the endless free CD's!!
So I extend a heartfelt "thank you" to everyone who’s supported, assisted or
just listened to the show (all 3 or 4 of you): To the record labels and P.R.
firms, keep up the incredible work! To the composers who have been guests on the
program, and to their overworked assistants, I give you double thanks for your
time and good will! And to the various film music webmasters scattered across
the globe: your mentions, plugs and links to our show throughout the last year
are appreciated beyond words!
Playlists for April will be sent out on the first of next month as usual, and my
email address for the show, TheScoreFM@Hotmail.com, will probably remain active
for the duration of the summer as it doesn’t cost me anything. The Infopage,
which likewise doesn’t cost anything, will stick around for a few more weeks
because I’m too lazy to take it down.
Once again, my appreciation for everyone’s support is unending. Hosting (and
producing) "The Score" will forever be a highlight of my life!
