The Gospel Brothers 1970
The GOSPEL BROTHERS, comprise of three brothers and a brother-in-law who sang Gospel Music together for 18 years. With a flavour of country in the blend of "their style" of four part harmony.
This is backed up by Cor Hogeveen on the acoustic guitar and mouth-organ. Hank Hogeveen on the acoustic guitar and John Hoogeveen on the bass guitar. Cor's daughter Shiela Hogeveen on the piano and John' son John Travis Hoogeveen on the drums also helped out occationnaly in the 18 years. Cor's wife Jetty and sister Jane (Hogeveen) VandeSande also contributed their talents and voices in concerts as they paired up with Cor + Hank creating a second mixed quartet.
When creating the Gospel Brothers second Album some of the additional great background music was contributed by others through Dave Daw "SUMMIT SOUND" of Westport, Ontario.
During this time the Gospel Brothers travelled together extensively throughout the Eastern Ontario region in various station wagons and cars with a trailer full of equipment tagging behind.
The Gospel Brothers got the oppertunity to record their blend of Gospel Music, including one song that was in their native "DUTCH" language and could be heard Sundays on CKBY, Ottawa and CJET, Smith Falls Radio Stations.

They have sung in various concerts and fuctions with the REX LeLaCHEUR SINGERS of OTTAWA. Six out of the eight Hogeveen family brothers and sisters were members at various times in the choir for many years till he passed away.
The GOSPEL BROTHERS were also members of the Canadian Gospel Music Association for many years and had the priviledge to sing one year at the Canadian Gospel Music Awards in Hamilton, Ontario.
They recorded two great albums recorded at Summit Sound in Westport, Ontario, produced by Dave Daw.
