From 1958 - 1960, I was stationed at TFOD - outside of Bar Le Duc. For years I have been searching for military and civilian personnel who were at the post during that time period. I was the only military person working in the Comptroller's Division under U.S. civilian Lewis Kandel, Comptroller. Evelyn Guthwasser was my boss, and Yvette Dupuis was my co-worker. Those were some of the best days of my life. Roger Diepe, a French civilian was a good friend, and often while he played organ in the church, I would accompany him on flute. Another good French civilian friend of mine was Evan Masselott. I participated in his wedding (1959?), and the celebration lasted the entire weekend. I was the only one speaking English for 3 days...what a blast! I left for the World in June '60, and was discharged out of Ft. Dix. The only person from TFOD that I have been able to keep in touch with is Calvin Vinson, originally from Detroit, Mi, but now residing in Memphis, Tn.
