I arrived by train early in the morning in march 1957.A 2 1/2 ton truck met me and another G.I. at the train station in Bar-Le-Duc and took us to TFOD. The driver left us off at the Orderly Room Service DET." B " 7831 Army Unit.I was taken to barracks #1448 and woke up the whole barracks and my arrival was not too popular.I became adjusted in a weeks time and made friends with just about everyone in the barracks.
My tour at TFOD was a learning experience which I never will forget.
