Commercial television, ITV, Carlton, Anglia, whatever you call it, ITV has been around since the mid 1950s and has experienced lots of changes and events in British broadcasting over the years. From 1954 to the present day ITV has seen a lot of changes and a lot of achievements in its history. Here is a list of them in chronological order:1) The Independent Television Authority (ITA) is introduced - 1954
