Welcome to the home page of Team C.I.A. (Central Illinois Airsoft). The team was founded by a small group of paintball players who were becoming disillusioned with the direction paintball was headed. To make the game of paintball more socially acceptable the manufactures, dealers, and game promoters have pushed paintball away from the military style game it was a decade ago. No longer do the players use paintball "guns", they are now politlically correct "markers". Gone are the military BDUs, replaced with bright colored team jerseys and commerical camouflage. Tournament paintball has become a fast paced game of elimination played on a field just a few hundred feet square filled with man made barracades, and in some cases an arena and televised for the world to see. Paintball was no longer a game for us.
We are a milsim team that gets together twice a month to play out military scenarioes. We use very realistic electric BB guns and exploding fragmentation BB grenades and on occassios a rubber bayonet to simulate killing an enemy player. We wear military BDUs and pvc Kevlar helmets, and if the scenario call for it we may wear gas masks or other speical gear.
