Hi My name is Cheryl, I come from a family of country cooks.
My dad even had Ebert's Catering for many years. Many of his recipes you will find here and others.
Funny how just the smell or the taste of something can bring back wonderful memories.
Doublemint gum reminds me of Memo(Grandma Ebert), Youth Dew perfum reminds me of Nannie(Grandma Gillar), Chicken fried steak and violet-pink lipstick reminds me of my Mom...But as Bernice would say, "Anyway"...
Here you will find some mighty good recipes, Most have been tested on friends and loved ones.
Most of these recipes have been handed down over time,you may have to use basic cooking skills to fill in the blanks. Feel free to come back often,I'm always finding recipes to add and tell your friends to come take a look see....
Update: Well it seems that there has been some changes around here..... now you may go to the gallery to see pictures of life in the hill country. Bare with me I'am trying to update daily.

Date March 10th is the day we lost June to a dog attack, it was very sad. I will never forget it, I lost not just a pet but a friend.
