At the end of the 2004/05 season the club is at a cross roads. On the firled we have hada poor season mainly due to a poor appointment as Manager. Terry Wheeler started so well and early in the season we were up in top five and hoping for some silverware. Unfortunatley players left and were not replaced notably Lee Chamberlain at the heart of the defence. Well done to all the players who stuck by the club through what turned into a dire struggle against relegation which unfortunatley we lost. There is light at the end of the tunnel. The appointment of Tony Merola as first team manager will bear fruit I am sure. The level of performance certainly went up during his 8 games in charge and culminated in a memorable demolition of near neighbours and eventual champions Buckley Town.

Off the field should see some developments regarding the new ground watch this space!! In addition to the new ground the committee is stronger than it has been for a number of years and I know they are committed to moving the club foward in the right direction. What the club do need is supporters to come along and watch games, the atmosphere at Alyn Park for the game with Buckley was brilliant and that as the biggest gate of the season, so come on down!!
