TaelonSlide (Part 1)

The bright purple vortex opened and dumped the sliders into a weird room with bright blue and purple colours everywhere. The sliders looked around the strange room. There were weird striations on the wall which if Diana remembered accurately from her high school biology books where they showed you the muscles on the body with the skin removed, this looked alot like that. And things in the room that looked like nerves, viens and arteries, plus some sort of clear fluid flowing in these clear tubes, it was pretty peculiar.
"What is this meant to be?" Remmy interupted everyones train of thought.
"This is the Taelon embassy and I`m Da`an. This building is what you might call alive. It`s an organic being we are able to grow, sustained by Taelon energy. Don`t be alarmed!" A strange tall creature walked gracefully into the room. It had a jumpsuit that glitters on, a high fore head, and a bald head.
"Oh no. Not another world where the aliens have landed!" Diana remarked.
"What the hell is a Taelon?" Amanda asked.
"Isn`t it obvious? I am." Da`an announced. He continued. "We are a energy species from the Meruva galaxy. We came to this tiny blue planet three years ago."
"We, did you say? So, does that mean there are more of you?" Remmy added.
"That is correct. There are many of us scattered around the world and of course Zo`or on the mothership. Now that I`ve answered a few of your questions, Would you mind answering mine? "Who are you?"
"Excuse me. We better go." Remmy said.
With that said. Amanda, Diana, Quinn (In Mallory`s body), Remmy and Wade ran like hell out of the Taelon embassy.
"It`s alright Da`an. I will catch them. Stay there and rest." The companion protector of Da`an : Liam, who only just strolled into the room, told Da`an.
"How do we get out of here? Guys." Wade spoke her first words on this earth, while running pursued by Liam, just a few metres behind.
"Wait! I`m a friend" Liam shouted at the group of running sliders.
"Yeah. If you are such a friend, why are you talking to that creep?" Wade asked, while huffing and puffing. Pointing in the direction where Da`an was.
"Just stop and I will tell you." Liam replied.
The group of sliders reluctantly stopped, while Liam caught up to them. They all rested awhile.
"OK. Speak!" Remmy angrily said.
"My name is Liam. And I`m the protector of that alien you just spoke too."
"Great. Lets go." They got ready to run again.
"No, it`s not what you think. I`m also the leader of the resistance against the Taelons." Liam added. Making sure Da`an didn`t hear..
"Back in the old days we used to always get messed up with the resistance. But that makes you a double agent." Quinn spoke his first words on this earth.
"Yeah. Best way to know what they are doing. Who are you?" Liam asked.
So, the sliders told Liam there story of visiting parallel universes. About how they meet an human/reticulan hybrid before.
"That`s interesting because a computer hacker friend of mine and I accidently went to a parallel univese when the stardrive system of a shuttle of the Taelons was sabotaged. We only got back because we were able to recreate the accident that sent us there in the first place." Liam explained.
"Only thing I don`t get though. Is how we jumped about ten years into the future. We don`t time travel. It`s Parallel universes only." Quinn reminded them.
"I don`t know. Maybe this earths time travels faster. Something to do with the spin of the axis of the earth. Remember on the world where you meet your younger self and later we traveled to a world where Los Angeles was buried under desert because somehow we were 400 years into the future." Remmy explained to Quinn.
"I have to hear about your adventures sometime." Amanda said, to Quinn.
"Yeah. I`ve got Mallorys memories from that earth. and maybe you are right." Quinn replied, to Remmy. And "You will." to his mum.
"Anyway, you are here." Liam interjected.
"How do we get out of here?" Diana asked.
"One of those shuttles I spoke about is around the corner from here, I will give you a quick lesson on how to fly it. I will put a tracking device in it, so I know where you are heading. I will just tell Da`an that you escaped in a shuttle." Liam explained.
"Yeah, how do we know you won`t just tell Da`an where we are?" Wade confronted Liam.
"No. Trust me. I won`t. The tracking device is only so I know where to meet you later. You don`t know this earth or the Taelons, they could have you killed if they think you are a problem. I will have to protect you."Liam explained.
"O.K. Lets go then." Diana quipped.
So, Liam went to the shuttle bay where three shuttles were waiting. Liam quickly taught the intricacys of piloting a Taelon shuttle.
"It just looks like no controls are there." Diana said.
"You will get used to it. Just be careful. I better get back before Da`an wonders where I got to and comes searching." Liam waved goodbye and went.
The sliders climbed inside the shuttle and drove it clumsily out of the embassy.
Liam got back too the room Da`an was in and got asked where the sliders are, as he expected. Liam told Da`an that they escaped in the shuttle.
"How do they know how to fly a shuttle?" Da`an asked.
"I don`t know. They are obviously smarter than we thought."
"Well. Get another shuttle and chase them." Da`an ordered Liam.
Liam walked out of Da`an audience chamber and went back to the shuttle bay. Da`an wanted to go, but thankfully the companion protector convinced him not to.
Meanwhile, in the shuttle, Diana was having trouble piloting it.
"I don`t know what I`m doing! We are going to crash if we don`t control this shuttle." Diana shouted.
Once Liam got out of the embassy in the shuttle, he saw that the sliders were in deep trouble and if he doesn`t help them soon, they are going to crash.
So, Liam flew his shuttle alongside the sliders shuttle and yelled instructions to them, hoping they can get the shuttle to the ground safely without many problems. At first, Diana didn`t understand, but eventually the shuttle was guided safely to the ground, narrowly missing the side of a building.
"Well, that was a bumpy ride." Remmy said.
Liam landed his own shuttle and ran over to the other one.
"Are you alright?" He said.
"Yeah. A bit bumpy, but we made it in the end." Diana replied.
"I think I`d better fly you to the resistance headquaters in Washigton!" Liam announced.
"Oh. O.K, but we have to be back here in Los Angeles for when our next window opens, which is in another three weeks." Quinn said.
Liam talked to Da`an on his global saying he`s taking the captives to the mothership, but really his hideaway. Da`an agreed and everyone got in the shuttle and flew inter-dimensionally to Washington. In no time Liam was landing the shuttle near the resistance hideaway.
"Boy. That was Quick." Amanda spoke.
"Yeah it`s some of the technology the Taelons brought with them to earth. It`s called inter-dimensional, it`s what I and a friend was in when we had our accident I was talking about." Liam explained.
Amanda, Diana, Quinn, Remmy, Wade and Liam exited there shuttle and walked to the resistance headquaters. Once inside the headquaters, the sliders meet Auger, Renee and the rest of the resistance. Liam explained the situation to his people. But Da`an rang him on his global and demanded where he was, after finding out from Zo`or that Liam and the sliders weren`t on the mothership. Liam lied again and said the sliders overcame him on the way and demanded to land the shuttle. By when the sliders escaped again. Da`an told Liam to meet him in his main embassy in Washington, where he is now.
"That was Da`an. I told him you escaped. You`ll have to wait here." Liam announced to the sliders, once he put his global away.
"So. You are from a Parallel universe?" Auger asked the sliders, once Liam left.
"Yeah, Liam told us that you went to one." Wade said.
"We sure did. We brought back someone that couldn`t exist long in this world, because her double was here and the two of them couldn`t live together in the same universe. So one had to join with the other. As a consequence of that, one of them died." Auger explained.
"I`m sorry to hear that. In fact, Quinn, here." Diana pointed to Quinn. "is joined with his double from another parallel universe. We are in the process of trying to separate them." She finished.
"The Taelons could help you out with that." Renee announced.
"I don`t know. I don`t trust those creeps." Wade replied.
"I`m not sure about that, Wade. I`m prepared to risk it to be separated from Mallory." Quinn interupted.
"It`s up to you, but I wouldn`t trust them. We`ve uncovered some pretty nasty things the Taelons have done to humanity over the years." Renee said.
Back at the Taelon embassy across Washington, Da`an was speaking to Liam. Da`an didn`t sound to pleased.
"How could you let them escape?" Da`an asked Liam.
"They came up from behind and demanded me to land the ship. I couldn`t defend myself, there were 5 of them and one of me."
"This shouldn`t matter. You have weapons and they didn`t.
"I guess they found a gun, because they threatened me with it!" Liam lied.
"It`s done I suppose. I will have Zo`or order agent Sandoval to look for and to kill them if necessary, we don`t know what kind of danger they present us.
"Yes, Da`an. In the meantime, shall I help look for them?"
"OK. But do a better job this time."
"I won`t let you down. Again I`m sorry."
Da`an tilted his head to one side and blushed. His entire face was suffused with blue energy for a few moments. With that the conversation was over. And Liam went back to the resistance headquaters to tell everyone (especially the sliders) the bad news.
