GEORGE IV WIN LEAGUE CUP 2008

On Sunday the final game of the 2008 season saw the White Hart play George IV in the final of the League Cup. After going two games down, the George fought back to win the game 5-2.

Neil 121 Neill 2x100 and a 115 outshot and an 18 dart leg

The singles ended 3.2 to George 1V

Doubles saw Ade Parker 136 just missing bull for a 161 finish and Doug Thompson 2x180, 2x100, 121 win their match 2.1 against Jaffa125 and Craig Stretch 100 to take the cup for the George. The second doubles saw Richie Platt and Neill Parker defeat Ed Sawyer and Simon Healey 2.0 with Neill hitting 100.

Overall 5.2 to George 1V, the new League Cup winners.

There will be a League meeting on 26 October at 11.00 at the Windmill.
On 26 October a charity match in aid of Cancer Research is being held at The Windmill, more details are available from Pete Lowe on 07886263203.
