Alexei Yagudin
Alexei Yagudin is one of the greatest skaters in the world, making history in his 2001-2002 season by being the first person to win the Olympics, World Championships, Europeans, and Grand Prix Final.
Alexei began skating at the age of four and started competing nationally in 1994. In 1998, he joined forces with coach and choreographer Tatiana Tarasova and soon afterwards, his career took off. At age 18, he became the second-youngest man to win a World Championships and also the first Russian men to do so. He dominated the 1998-1999 season, winning almost every competition. Alexei lives in Newington, CT with his cocker spaniel Lawrence, named after his favourite program.
