SSHS Chemistry/E.S. Courses:
AP Chemistry (offered alternating years with Environmental Science) is designed to prepare the student for the AP Chemistry exam, and covers the equivalent of one full year of college-level general chemistry.
Why take AP Chem?
College-bound science majors : You will probably be required to take at least one year of chemistry regardless of what science-related major you choose. You can complete it at SSHS.
College-bound, non-science majors : You will probably be required to fulfill a physical science requirement (in addition to a life science requirement, etc.). Why not fulfill that requirement here by taking AP Chem at Santa Su--in the bosom of your family?
AP Homework

CP Chemistry is a CA Standards-based, lab-oriented course for college-bound students. A sound mathematical background is required for success in CP Chemistry. This course satisfies the UC “D” or “F” requirement.
CP Homework

AP/Honors Environmental Science provides students with the principles, concepts, and methodologies required to understand the natural world, identify and analyze environmental problems, evaluate the associated risks, and examine solutions.
ESH Homework

General Chemistry satisfies one of three years of high school science required by SVUSD.
