We held our annual Open Night Team tournament this past Saturday.
We had a record turnout with 85 teams participating in this year's event.
The weather was very hot with temps close to 100 degrees and light winds. After dark the winds picked up and hung around through the night making it tough on those fishing the main lake.
I would like to thank all that participated in our event. I hope it was an enjoyable experience for all. Alot of work went into preparing for the tournament. I would also like to say a special thank you to our club president for bringing it all together. The ladies that put together the concession stand deserve a big thank you. I know there were alot of hungry and tired fisherman at the morning weigh-in that really appreciated the food and drinks.
We paid back 10 places this year. As well as 2 big bass places. The results of the tournament are as follows.
First Place-27.64 lbs James Taylor/Gaylon Toney

Congratulations to all our winners!
It really was a tough night of fishing and you deserve an atta boy!
The main pattern that most disclosed responsible for there success was a texas rigged soft plastic in 20-30 ft of water.
I'd also like to thank our sponsors who provided some wonderful door prizes for our tournament. I hope all of you remember them for any needs you have and give them your business in return.
Now back to some club business. This week's tournament will be held out of Buckeye Launch. Hours are 7 p.m.-5 a.m..
Have a great day and remember to thank God for all your many blessings!

P.S. Be sure to check back periodically as I will try to keep you posted. Enjoy our great fisheries and keep them clean so they may continue to be an enjoyable place to spend time and share in fellowship!
