and now (sound of trumpets, please) da dah -

South Leeds Junior Archers

We are a new-ish group of archers, centred around the area of South Leeds, in the West Riding of Yorkshire, England.
The 'Founding Four' decided to form a friendly, helpful club, with the sole intention of making archery an enjoyable sport for everyone.
The Club was founded in November, 1999 (crikey - that means we are into our tenth year!) and now have over 70 members, with a good mix of boys, girls, ladies and gents, old and young (including a few who don't know which category they belong to - age wise that is!)
Our first rule is that you enjoy your archery (or you may be liable to be sent home)
We are affiliated to the Grand National Archery Society - now renamed as ArcheryGB
but don't mind if you belong to the NFAS.
Our second rule is that you enjoy your archery!! :o)
We are an "open" club, that is we accept archers from anywhere and of any ability and with any bow - except crossbows, as they tend to damage the targets (although we are slowly demolishing the target stands with our arrows)
We are a target archery club but our members often travel to shoot in Clout and Field archery events, we also take part in local galas and fetes with our castle.
You don't need anything more than a sense of humour to start with.
Interested ?? Send an e-mail for further info, if we are not your nearest club we can put you in touch with whoever is.
