GENERAL SKILLS CATEGORY MIGRATION

The objective of the General Skills category is to select migrants who will:
*increase New /zeaqland's levels of human capability;and
*foster international linkages.

Principal applicants in the General Skills category are assessed by a points system.

Applications under the General Skills category with a points score of 23 or less will be declined. Applications scoring 24 points or more will only be considered if they meet the relevant weelly passmark.

Note:Applicants whose points score is within 5 points of the passmark for the week in which their application was made, who have not already claimed points for an offer of employment and have met English language, health and character requirements may apply for a work visa or permit to enable them to seek employment in New Zealand.

How to calculate your points?
1.Qualification
* Base qualification:
Degree, diploma or trade certificate of a minimum of e years duration. (10 points)
* Advanced qualification:
A minimum of 1 years duration thay builds on a base qualification.(11 points)
Master degree or higher (12 points)
New Zealand qualification (2 points)

2.Work experience
* Each 2 years qualification related working experience (1 points)
3.Offer of Employment
* Job Offer (5 points)

4.Ages
*18-24 years(8 points)
*25-29 years(10 points)
*30-34 years(8 points)
*35-39 years(6 Points)
*40-44 years(4 points)

5.Settlement funds
*NZ$100,000 (1 points)
*NZ$200,000 (2 points)

6.Spouse's Qualifications
* Base qualificaiton (1 point)
* Advanced qualifcation (2 points)

7. New Zealand Work Experience
* 1 year (1 point )
* 2 years (2 points)

Please to plus all 7 sections above to get your points. If your total points are 24 points all more, and you satisfy other requirements, such as IELTS5.0 on each bands, we will accept your case.
