THE WEST'S RESPONSE TO THE KORANIC ATTACK AGAINST CIVILIZATION

What should be the response of Christians to the rapidly expanding Challenge of Islam and particularly of Islamic "Jihad"? Not only should the Church take this challenge very seriously, but Western Civilization, with its democratic principles, should also take cognizance of the fact that, within this century, the Islamic Ummah, with its barbaric Shariah Law may rule the world. To respond to this global crisis, we need to manifest a Special type of Love - "AGAPE" - a Love that will change the world - otherwise "Terrorism" will remain an ongoing threat and constant fear. Our Christian Love must specially be directed towards the Oppressors / Killers of Women (Video) and the proponents of FEAR (Video) who are obsessed by their concept of Paradise and a lust to enter.

If you had seen the enormity of suffering within the Muslim community, particularly in its female section, which almost ate out our hearts, during the 31 years Ruth and I spent in India and Bangladesh, you would understand the reason for the passion we have to liberate the victims of Koranic oppression. Unfortunately, many concerned people in the West, particularly in Europe, are still not awake to the critical need for reconciliation over the Israeli-Palestinian issue. Tragically, many Heads of Nations, key Government and Church leaders, along with the Media, and probably because of fear of physical violence or vilification litigation, are hesitant to get involved, choosing to be "Politically Correct" in referring to Islam as a "Religion of Peace", and, like most Muslims, without even reading all the Koran and Hadith !! Yes, Muslims love “Peace” and are forbidden to kill – other Muslims - but in the Koran – in Chapters 2:193; 8:39; 9:29, 123; 60:4 and over 100 more passages, every sincere Muslim of “Dar-al-Islam”, is obliged to kill those of us (Jews and Christians / “Infidels”) who, as “Dar-al-Harb”, do not submit to the barbaric Shariah laws of Allah - (VIDEO).

It is a frightening state of affairs when the Media, the Church and even the world’s most powerful nation, including many of its top theological scholars and cluey intellectuals, can be held to ransom by a medieval religious myth with its self-confessed (in the Koran) Terrorists – the “Merciful” Allah and his “Prophet” Mohammed. And the solution ? Muslims desperately need our Christian Love. Only genuine “Agape” Love can control the Islamic zealots as only such Grace could bring Saul of Tarsus to his knees (Acts 7:60). Most Muslims, not having read all the Koran, have no idea just why some of their brethren are so militant. Hatred against Muslims must stop, but so also should Islam’s violent threats of murderous "Fatwahs" against Jews and us "Kuffaars" / "Infidels" as the imaginary god of the Koran demands. This is blatant TREASON (Video ). While we must be gracious towards all Muslims, some of whom are our very close friends, we do not have to respect the vitriolic Quranic creed which has such a deleterious effect on all its brainwashed victims. Of course, the same may be said of all fundamentalist religions, including some militant forms of Old Testament-based “Christianity”. To control “Terrorism”, the “Holy” Koran must be revised, if not banned, for it is at the root of the problem and far worse than Hitler’s “MEIN KAMPF”.

Meanwhile, millions of women, in particular, suffer in bondage and slavery to this Arab power-cult which uses "Female Genital Mutilation" and forced marriage (legalized rape), along with fear, among its major weapons. These barbaric practices, together with "Honor Killing" and the "Shariah" Law, continue to spread terror wherever Islam is propagated, although many of these brutal customs actually existed before the advent of Islam. The vast majority of Ayatollahs / Mullahs / Imams are doing nothing to reform Islam to make it compatible with modern civilisation, democratic principles, human rights and common decency. Qur'anic Shariah Law will destroy all things beautiful - good literature, art, ballet, fine music and real "culture", but let's give Islam credit for wanting society to be rid of alcohol which, along with sexual depravity, is one of Western Civilization's major curses, which could lead to its eventual downfall.

To reduce the incidence of "Terrorism", with the help of moderate Muslim friends, through the medium of the Internet, we are promoting the need for a “Islamic Reformation Movement" (next best thing to totally dismantling Islam – the ideal ! ) which would involve a revision of the "Holy" Koran (see quotes from the Koran here that need to be deleted) to delete racially / gender biased and seditionist text. Some say that's impossible - "An Impossible Dream"? We cannot impose reform from without; the Movement has to spring from within and it is heartening to note that, since 11th. Sept. 2001, more and more non-fundamentalist Islamic scholars and intellectuals have also sensed the need for moral change. They are embarrassed by “9 / 11“. Meet courageous ex-Islamic “apostates” at our “Forum on Islam” and encourage them. Yes, there are hopeful signs of Reformation - but at a price.

In the Middle Ages, Catholicism, through its “Inquisition”, was one of the major sources of Religious Terrorism until Reformers like John Huss, Martin Luther, Calvin, Zwingle, Tyndale, Knox and a host of others, daring to challenge the might of Rome, attempted the impossible – even braving torture and burning at the “Stake” to let their dreams run wild. The vision they caught in their day, is the only real hope for us in our time as Western Civilisation faces the ever-growing menace of Islamic "Jihad" dedicated to total world conquest within this century. In reflecting on that threat, spare a thought for your daughters, grand-daughters and their future families who could possibly come under Islam’s barbaric“Shariah” Law. Jesus is the dynamic force who motivates every aspect of our Ministry. Jesus -- not necessarily all sections of the Church, some of which, being terribly afraid of involvement, have their heads buried in the sand -- is the only hope, not only for women, but also the explosive Middle East situation and civilisation itself. Some Christians are reluctant to criticize Islam because we are meant to love our enemies. Hate Slavery but Love the enslaved; Hate “Alcohol and other Drugs” but love their victims and apply that logic to the Islamic problem. Our hope is that democratically free nations and Concerned People, in particular, may bravely face these challenges before it is too late. In spite of death-threats and the loss of some of our “friends” – those unwilling to read all the Koran / Hadith before making a judgement - we cannot but speak of what we have both seen and personally experienced over many years. During those years abroad, particularly in India, we discovered that the Proponents of Fear who are quick to shout “Allahu Akbar” (“God is Great”), can themselves be very afraid - of the fact that God is also Love (Agape) - because “Perfect Love casts out all Fear” ( 1 John 4:18 ).

In the years ahead, when we may be threatened with many more acts of Terrorism, it will be interesting to see whether or not the Church has the Courage and Strength to respond to the Challenge of Islamic “Jihad”. Christian Values and the sacred quality of Life we treasure and experience in our Homes, Families, Schools, Communities and Church Fellowships, are in very serious peril. Many are confused by Islam's New World Order and don't know what to believe. If you are in any doubt, go to the Basics - JESUS - and you'll not go wrong. Only Jesus offers Hope for the future.

The time has come when the Church needs to depend less on sacramental mysticism and evangelical oratory and more on incarnational, loving encounter - the Ministry of the Holy Spirit – exercised when we love Muslims as Jesus does – enough to die for them. May the word “Islam” spell out the conviction – “I Sincerely Love All Muslims”. Our most effective Ministry, in terms of communicating the Gospel, was in Islamic Bangladesh where, in certain “Tea Estate” areas, serving through The Leprosy Mission and HEED-Bangladesh,we were forbidden to “talk religion”. Out of that experience came the conviction that what the world needs is a “de-religionised” Christian Faith where, through our gracious relationships with Muslims and others, Jesus may be “seen” in our character and allowed to get on with His Business of helping Allah clean up his act. Without a Moral Content, mere Religion can be a Curse but Perfect "AGAPE" Love casts out all FEAR, even that of a Middle East / Global Conflagration.
