Skater Babs
Skater Babs is one of the more recent local pro's in the S.F. Bay Area. Bab's sponsors are Sobe beverges, Etnies, Accel wheels and Lucky speed bearings.
Babs,the local skateboard pro. does offer skate lessons for kids between the ages of 5-12 and for anyone who is first starting out. The cost for a skate lesson is $15.00/hr.
Babs will teach the easy fundamentals of skateboarding which excists of balance,the proper way to push and set up for tricks, turnning, stopping,falling the right way w'out getting hurt.Now to the easy fundamentals to the basic tricks which are an ollie,shuv-it, a 180, and once you got those down it is time to move on to a little bit of flip tricks. Such as kickflips,heelflips, and variel-flips.You will also learn how to do a variety of boardslides and grinds.
Babs ultimate goal is to give his time, and energy to the kids in the S.F. Bay Area as long as they have the desire to learn. Your skills will increase more and more each day as you practice. Of course you will learn the skills of skateboarding,but better than that. You, personaly will develop motivation,respect for others and your equipment, more self confidence, you'll be more positive in your attitude and in everything you do in and out of skateboarding. In overal you will be a better individual who others will respect and may even look up to you.
