'LIFE ON THE FAST LANE'
Here we have the first Marge episode and the first romance episode, rolled into one. And it's good. Not great, but still good. It has a lovely storyline, though.. brilliant, with great ideas. And the character of Jacques is brilliant.. he's almost Marge's Romeo. Marge is also in character throughout, as are Homer and Bart, and as far as I'm concerned, Lisa is brilliant.. exactly what you would expect from her in later seasons. Unfortunately the episode is kinda low on jokes, funny lines, satire etc. , which kinda ruins the episode. But the character and plot make up for it, so this is an altogether good episode. Average for season one, but still good enough, and in some ways comparable to later episodes.
