WESLEY'S REVIEWS
SEASON ONE
EPISODE EIGHT

Aah. Here we have the first flashback episode (despite the fact we're only 'flashing back' a few days.) And what an episode it is. I really like the way it is told, as an apology to the town at technically the end of the story. The story itself is a good, interesting one, and Bart really truly is at his best here. In fact, his character is so much like seasons 2-4, you'd be forgiven for thinking it WAS from S2-4, if not for the S1 animation. Homer is also great, again as if from season 2. As well as this great characterization, the plot is also tippety top cream of the crop, and utilizes Bart and the bullies very well. Not to mention the humour.. the episode is full of good jokes, and has a fair amount of subtle humour. Overall, we get a decent offering here; great for S1.

Character: 9/10
