WESLEY'S REVIEWS
SEASON ONE
EPISODE FOUR
THERE'S NO DISGRACE LIKE HOME

This episode is different to more modern episodes in many ways. Mainly, due to the facts that a) Marge gets totally drunk , and b) Homer is worried about his impressions to the boss, and his family's functionality. These two factors are probably two of the most obvious differences between season 1 and it's later counterparts. However, these factors hardly affect the average episode at all. What makes the episode merely average however, is the fact there is such a lack of humour. Bar a couple of scenes in the Family Therapy centre, we don't get amny laughs at all. Add to this the only fair plot, and terrible characterization from Homer and Marge (although nigh-on perfect for Bart and Burns), you only get a mediocre episode at best.
