Oh, dear. Oh dear, oh dear! What an awful episode. Humourless characterless, almost plotless. This ain't The Simpsons. This ain't even a facsimile of the Simpsons.
Let's start with the plus points. There aren't many.
The first thing that comes to mind is that perhaps a few of the signs are funny. You know, 'Sign ahead'. Fairly funny. Actually there are a few funny parts. Although the ep is less funny than most, it isn't totally lacking humour. It is totally lacking, however, character. Since when would Homer go kill himself?! For ANY reason?! Hmm. A good example of how strange season 1 is.
It IS excused because it's Season 1, but these are reviews, so you'll have to put up with it. Worst of Season 1.
